FAQ
Why the hell are you doing this?
Feedback is about being creative for the sake of creativity. no rtbs, no kpis, no acronyms at all. Just a place to express yourself freely (and maybe even shine a light on those between jobs or in school right now). That could mean getting out of your comfort zone, or getting back into it. Either way, we could all use a bit of respite from selling out.
Who chooses what submissions make the cut?
Every issue we’ll bring in some of the top creative leaders in the industry to be our guest editors and select our featured pieces and authors.
When will i hear back from you?
That’s a great question. This is our first issue, so please be patient with us, but whether your piece is accepted or not, we’ll make sure to email you back as soon as we possibly can.
What is a literary magazine?
Great question. A literary magazine, or journal, if you wanna get fancy, is a place where poetry, short fiction and visual art are featured. You’ll often also find non-fiction and essays in there too, but for now, we’re not accepting those. Lit mags can be in print, online, or both.
Do you accept work that has been previously published?
We do not accept anything already published in print or online, but if you’ve just put it up on a blog or social, that’s cool with us – send it in.
Do you pay for accepted submissions?
Not yet, but we’d love to. If you want to support feedback and its contributors, we’d love to hear from you.
Who can submit to feedback?
Anyone in the advertising world. We don’t care if you’re a suit, a student or a CCO. Submissions are accepted from any country, but for now, only in English. If you’re in between ad jobs right now, we’d love you to submit too. In your submission, just say where you used to work. If you’re a freelance producer or a different vendor but somehow you’ve found your way here and are inspired and want to submit, who are we to tell you no? Go for it.
How do the rights of the work work?
You retain all rights to your work after publication, but we will likely keep back issues posted online after publication and on social, so we require non-exclusive electronic rights.
